Twin tornadoes are an uncommon phenomenon. Satellite tornadoes may present themselves when a mix of meteorological conditions are present an intense storm. Satellite tornadoes generally spawn from the same cloud rotation. Twin tornadoes exist when two separate rotational clouds each spawn a tornado independently of one another.
