Geocache is fun! How do we approach satisfying intellectual appetite for an educational experience? First we should have an awareness of our geospatial environment. Where are we located on a two dimensional map? What if we change the scale on the map so that we can see more detail? Now we have a local environment that is easier to relate to! Are we able to orient ourselves to cardinal direction? We are beginning to get the cartographic basic challenges met and we are all on the same page. The pirate’s treasure map is getting easier to relate to.
What dilemma are we still facing? If we think we know where the treasure is buried, we may do a lot of digging here and there until we find it.
