Academy Science is interested in horticultural science and natural food production. The United States Department of Agriculture USDA funds Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program BFRP presented in cooperation with the Nebraska Center for Rural Affairs NCRA, University of Nebraska-Lincoln UNL Extension and Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society NSAS. This particular Beginning Farmer Workshop is about the interesting horticultural topic of fruit and vegetable production and marketing. It is held at the Christenson Research and Education Building Agricultural Research and Development Center ARDC near the rural communities of Mead, Ithaca and Wahoo Nebraska and also the Douglas Sarpy County Extension office in Omaha later in the week.
