4-H National Youth Science Day NYSD. The Challenge: “design and build an aerodynamic food transportation device that can deliver a payload of nutritious food to disaster victims. Youth will learn engineering concepts, develop math skills, learn about nutrition and help solve a relevant, global issue.” No Problem!
– Rollback …
It is August 16th. Academy Science is hosting “Build and Launch a Rocket” at the Valley Sesquicentennial. After youth teaching youth AND adults about the “Four Forces of Flight,” you could watch an Academy Science youth made video or catch the presentation live, it was time to build and launch a rocket.
If interested, brave and aspiring rocket design challenge engineers could take it to the next level and design yet another rocket to launch a payload.
Since our Sesquicentennial theme was disaster management and emergency planning, we met the challenge! Those rockets were bigger, bolder and needed more pressure to make it the same distance as the earlier mostly lightweight sprinters.
End result? If you require disaster relief, well you came to the right place!
Academy Science has the technical know how and practical experience to get your payload where you need it! The little birdy informs me that 4-H NYSD managers are modeling our project this year in order to roll out theirs.
