From time to time I am asked about the “recipe” for a great science club. At this time I defer to Grandpa and his wealth of wisdom. You can not have a great science club without youth that enjoy science for what it is. So start with youth that really want to be there enjoying science because that is what they really want to do! Then you need inspired parents and family members that support their children’s quest for knowledge! How about leaders, coaches, teachers? Well, it is a challenge getting the activities accomplished successfully without dedicated leaders to support and deliver the knowledge and the plan. So I think we are getting a handle on the concept…
This Sunday evening club leaders logged over one hundred miles round trip and spent several hours discussing and facilitating a plan that would assist the interested youth in successful preparation for this summer’s county fairs.
