In April 2013 our 4-H club went to the Valley Weather Station. Brian Smith from the station spoke to our club. A weather balloon is a scientific instrument which is used to collect data about atmospheric weather conditions. A weather balloon measures natural temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. Weather balloons are filled with helium or hydrogen. They can travel pretty far. One from the a Valley Weather Station even landed in Wisconsin. I learned a lot about weather balloons.
